Altar
We play the first three songs fast, and the fourth one until everybody leaves.
Make some noise
Press the buttons. It is genuinely loud and it is generated in your browser, not downloaded from anywhere. Nothing is recorded, nothing is sent.
Contains low frequencies. Start low. If you are at a gig, this page is too polite for you.

Who we are
- If the room isn't shaking, turn it up
- Play the quiet song once
- Never play a cover you love more than us
- Leave the venue louder than you found it
Gravel Altar started in a freezing rehearsal room above a laundrette and never got over it. Two guitars tuned a whole step apart, a bass that only knows four notes, and a drum kit held together with gaffer tape and stubbornness.
We write about bad towns, bad weather and worse plans. We have played a kitchen, a laundrette at 2am, and one festival stage in the rain that we are still not convinced was real.
